The Imou Turret is a Full HD (2MP, 1080P) dome camera with very easy installation. Thanks to its round shape, the Turret does not protrude far from its mounting place (ceiling / wall) and with an IP67 certificate, it is resistant to wind and weather. The Turret also has a built-in spotlight and siren to scare away unwanted visitors. It is also possible to hear and speak back thanks to the built-in speaker and microphone. The camera can be connected to WiFi and Ethernet, but it is even possible to use the Turret offline thanks to its built-in hotspot. Recording can be done via MicroSD, NAS, Imou Cloud, or recorder. In the Imou Life app, you will discover all functions, including: Geo-fencing, Recording schedules, Notification schedules, and much more!
Installation
You download the Imou Life app (iOS, Android or Windows) and create an Imou account. After logging in with your account, press the "+" sign at the top right of the Imou app to add an Imou camera. Then, scan the QR code on your camera and follow the simple steps in the app. Afterwards, select your WiFi network (2.4 GHz) and make sure the camera is close to your router during the installation process.
Image quality
Thanks to the 2MP (Full HD, 1080P) lens, the camera offers excellent image quality with a resolution of: 1920 x 1080. The H.265 image compression technology used simultaneously ensures that high-quality recordings and streams take up relatively little space and therefore require less bandwidth. This way, the available storage space and bandwidth can be optimally utilized.
Night vision
When it gets dark, the camera activates its Infrared spotlight to display a clear image in grayscale in the dark. Please note: infrared reflects on glass, so it is not advisable to place the camera behind a window, for example. For outdoors, it is advisable to purchase an Imou outdoor camera.

Two-way speech
Thanks to two-way speech, it is possible to both hear what is happening and speak back. Moreover, you can even activate the built-in siren, so that it goes off when there is motion in the image.
Spotlight and siren
The camera also has a built-in spotlight that can be used to scare away unwanted visitors. You can also choose to activate the siren, which goes off when there is motion in the image.
Smart functions in Imou Life app
- Notification schedule: Set which days and times of the week the camera may send you notifications.
- Detection region: Choose from which zones in the image you want to receive notifications.
- Abnormal sound alarm: When this function is activated, the camera reports strange sounds
- Image mirroring: Activate for ceiling installation for correct image display.
WiFi & LAN
The camera has a built-in 2.4 GHz WiFi chip with dual antenna for more range. It also has an Ethernet port for wired connection. It is always advisable to use a powerful WiFi router. It is advisable to separate the 2.4 GHz channel from 5.0 GHz in the settings. This promotes connection stability. If your existing WiFi signal is not strong enough, it is advisable to use Ethernet or a WiFi booster.
